When performed properly, dressage is an effortless, beautiful ballet between horse and rider. I set out to capture a series of images that reflect the themes of dressage in a unique and new way. This Essence of Dressage series is an ongoing work, and new images will be added over time. Two of these images, connection and salutation, have been donated to the USDF Young Riders program, and the FEI Young Riders program, respectively, for their silent auctions in 2005. I hope that you enjoy these prints - if you have thoughts on additional images that you would enjoy, that embody the spirit of dressage, I would love to hear them!
